PETA

Can I have a moment of your time?

by Karen on February 11, 2009

Suppose you were walking down the street one day minding your own business when someone sticks a pamphlet in front of you.  You cast your eyes to the side to see who that person is & you see someone dressed like this:

peta_klan

Who the hell would you think just stuck a pamphlet in front of you? If you said a Klansman, you’d be wrong.  Yes, wrong. It’s a PETA member dressed like a Klansman protesting the AKC.

What does the AKC and the KKK have in common?  One breeds dogs.  The other is a terrorist organization based in the United States that has brutalized communities of colour for over a century now whose primary goal is restoring white male supremacy as the law of the land.

If you don’t get the connection, you’re probably not a member of PETA.

PETA attacks women & children over cows

by Karen on September 30, 2008

old dollPETA is at it again.  This time the faux outrage is about milk, cow milk that is.   Not only has PETA encouraged Ben & Jerry’s to use human breast milk in their ice cream, but PETA has also decided to put up billboards blaming autism on the consumption of cow’s milk.

If ever there was a group that is a billboard for being clueless it’s PETA.  All you have to do to realize this is that PETA never uses the bodies of men nor specifically attacks men in any of it’s “projects”.  (Women make the majority of household purchases and are considered by the majority of the public to be more responsible for children than men so even ads about the welfare of children by PETA are targeting mothers, not fathers).

They do not get packaged like food.  They do not get put in cages and pens. They do not appear naked or nearly naked in ads. They are never painted to appear like other species, naked or nearly naked of course. They are never the targets of “do this & get laid” PETA ads.

What they are is the target market for this exploitation of human women, a group that has been and continues to be exploited by human men for their own end.   PETA’s response to being reminded of this?

While cruelty to animals is a serious matter that should elicit widespread public outrage, efforts to reach the public through more serious means often fall on deaf ears in a world in which sex sells and there are both a war and an economic downturn.

Shorter PETA:  Exploiting women is a-okay if it’s for a “serious matter”.

Even Shorter PETABitches ain’t shit.

And that’s the problem with PETA.  It has no respect for women and refuses to understand that sexism is wrong in and of itself.  Women are not animated blow up dolls to put on display so that men can figure out that a certain action/deed is perhaps something they ought not do.

And to put it bluntly – if human men never learn to quit treating human women like property, how in fucks sake are they ever going to learn to quit treating other species in the same manner?  It’s like teaching a guy that kicking dogs is bad by kicking a cat!

So, I’d say they won’t learn anything which means PETA’s work will never be done.

Then again, maybe that is the point.  It is PETA.

Another reason to hate PETA

PETA Hypocrisy

Shown to the left is a photo of a “protest” by PETA. The woman by the police officers is Ashely Bryne, a coordinator for PETA. The officers are inquiring about the well-being of the two shrunk-wrapped women due to the hot weather that day.

Upon inquiry, Shawn Herbold (on the bottom) stated that she was in pain and feeling nauseated from the heat after being displayed like that for 30 minutes.

Byrne’s response to her statement? She had Herbold remain as she was for another 30 minutes while she debated the cops. As the photographer states – PETA would never treat a cow that way, but human women seem to be another matter.
