Reid chastises people for disliking DINOs

by Karen on March 27, 2009

Harry Reid has decided to address the outrage some of us have expressed over Democratic senators organizing against the party.  And being the rotten fucking coward that he is, this is what he said (via: Think Progress):

I think it’s very unwise and not helpful," Reid said Friday morning. "These groups should leave them alone. It’s not helpful to me. It’s not helpful to the Democratic Caucus.”

Got that? Democratic groups who want democratic politicians to cease trying to block democratic policies are “very unwise” and “not helpful”.

This is why I do not support the party as a whole and will vote against a Democrat if need be. The Democrats suck at actually being Democrats.

The members are:

“Leading the new group are Democratic Sens. Evan Bayh of Indiana, Tom Carper of Delaware and Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas… [O]thers joining the group are Sens. Michael Bennet of Colorado, Mark Begich of Alaska, Kay Hagan of North Carolina, Herb Kohl of Wisconsin, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Bill Nelson of Florida, Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, Mark Udall of Colorado, and Mark Warner of Virginia.” (source)

Assholes, each & every one.

You may have read about Blagojevich comparing himself to the biggest names in Civil and Human Rights, but here’s your chance to actually watch him do it:

Words fail me. Well, no they don’t. It’s absolutely fucking astounding to see a white man say something like that.  Fucking astounding.

How can we lose?

November 4, 2008

This guy’s got some ideas on how to accomplish a defeat (via: Pharyngula) of the Democratic party: The easiest way, of course, is not voting so find out where you should go to vote and get to it.

Such a class act

October 8, 2008

I <3 Hillary Clinton.  Seriously and completely.  It has nothing to do with politics as she’s rather right of me.  However, she’s a class act as shown by this video: I dread November 5, 2008.  I so do not want to wake up (I’m getting up there and plan to get wasted Nov. 4th which [...]

Quote of the Day: O’Rourke on Political Parties

September 8, 2008

“The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn.  The Republicans are the party that says government doesn’t work and then they get elected and prove it.”  ~ P.J. O’Rourke

It’s 2PM, wave goodbye to the Democratic Party

August 24, 2008

Well, folks it’s official.  The Democratic party has kicked off it’s week long celebration of the diversity within the Democratic party with an event that explicitly shuts out any Democrat or democratically inclined person that doesn’t believe in some kind of god. Be nice.  Smile as you wave goodbye.  It’s the atheist thing to do.

Act like a Christian? No, Thanks.

August 22, 2008

An event this coming Sunday is to be a first for the Democratic Party.  At exactly two pm at the Denver Convention Center the Democratic party will kick off the only “inter-faith” service it’s ever played host to. This gathering will include clergy of a variety of faiths, Democratic leaders, elected Democrats and community leaders.  [...]

Can you get a refund for a gift god gave you?

August 20, 2008

Seriously! A confident Barack Obama raised an extraordinary $7.8 million Sunday at three California fundraisers, most of it in large checks to a Democratic Party committee. “I will win. Don’t worry about that,” he said to the crowd of about 1,300 at his third event of the evening, according to the pool report. He was [...]

Why I still heart Dennis Kucinich

June 10, 2008

He has introduced 35 impeachment articles against George Bush. This is his second attempt to start impeachment procedures against George Bush (he abandoned another attempt earlier this year). I have no doubt that there will be no impeachment of George Bush, but it feels good to know that there’s at least one of our person [...]
