<p>As weird as it may be, it makes sense if evolution is true.  The mother&#8217;s skin becomes very thick and rich with nutrients when she&#8217;s brooding and unless the kids get overly aggressive, the feeding doesn&#8217;t hurt her and is quite beneficial to her offspring.</p>
<p>If creationism is true, then this is yet more evidence that the &#8220;creator&#8221; is a bit on the bizarre side of things.  Who or what in their/it&#8217;s right mind would come up with this feeding mechanism?</p>
