Clinton vs. Smith on Family Planning

by Karen on April 27, 2009

I saw this video a few days ago and I thought I’d share. It’s Hillary Clinton responding to the faux-concern of some white dude named Christopher Smith on providing abortion services to women of colour in other countries:

Zygotes get no love in North Dakota

by Karen on April 4, 2009

The absurdly ridiculous and dangerous “personhood” amendment in North Dakota has been laid to rest by the state Senate.

Senators voted 29-16 Friday to reject legislation that sought to define as a human being "any organism with the genome of homo sapiens." The "personhood" status would include a developing embryo from the moment of conception, whether inside or outside the womb.

Just how bad was this legislation? A Republican senator was it’s most frequent critic stating that it “reaches far beyond protecting human rights” and that it would cause more problems for the state than it would solve.

Prolife activist keeps it classy

by Karen on March 25, 2009

You may have heard of the plane crash in Montana that resulted in the deaths of 14 people, seven of which were children.  A pro-life activist by the name of Gingi Edmonds wrote this press release in response.

…The family who died in the crash near the location of the abortion victim’s memorial, is the family of Irving ‘Bud’ Feldkamp, owner of the largest for-profit abortion chain in the nation.

The plane went down on Sunday, killing two of Feldkamp’s daughters, two sons-in-law and five grandchildren along with the pilot and four family friends. The plane, a single-engine turboprop flown by Bud Summerfield of Highland, crashed into the Catholic cemetery and burst into flames, only 500 ft. from its landing destination. All aboard were killed.

We warned him, for his children’s sake, to wash his hands of the innocent blood he assisted in spilling because, as Scripture warns, if "you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you". (Ezekiel 35:6)

I don’t want to turn this tragic event into some creepy spiritual ‘I told you so’ moment, but I think of the time spent outside of Feldkamp’s – Pam Feldkamp laughing at the fetal development signs, Bud Feldkamp trying not to make eye contact as he got into his car with a small child in tow – and I think of the haunting words, ‘Think of your children.’ I wonder if those words were haunting Feldkamp as well as he stood in the snow among the remains of loved ones, just feet from the ‘Tomb of the Unborn’?

Translation: My god killed this man’s family – even the children – for being involved in something I and those like me disapprove of.  Want yours to be next?

Suffer not the single mom to go uncharged

March 25, 2009

In 2007 women set two records. Women gave birth to more children in that single year than at any other point in American history, beating the baby boom of 50 years ago. Single women set a record by accounting for 40 percent of those births. And as you can probably guess from the title above, [...]

The Vatican has decided to backtrack on it’s approval of the behaviour of a Brazilian archbishop who really shined his ass in the case of a nine year old rape victim receiving an abortion. Countdown to Steele’s resignation begins now

March 11, 2009

They’re already mad at him for trying to stand up to the personification of the angry white man, Rush Limbaugh.  I highly doubt they’re going to like what he said in an interview with GQ (via Think Progress) about abortion: GQ: Are you saying you think women have the right to choose abortion? STEELE: Yeah. [...]

March 6, 2009

The Catholic church is still shining it’s ass about the nine year old rape victim’s abortion which a lawyer for the church recently referred to as murder. They’ve now stated that they’ve excommunicated the girl’s mother and others over it: A Brazilian archbishop says all those who helped a child rape victim secure an abortion [...]

Some people need horsewhipped

March 5, 2009

And I propose that we start with Marcio Miranda, a lawyer for a Catholic church in Brazil, who stated upon finding out that a nine year old rape victim had been granted an abortion: “We consider this murder" After that, we move on to whoever decided that even nine year old girls don’t get to [...]

Because women are stupid, that’s why.

February 27, 2009

Upon hearing that South Carolina has passed a bill requiring a 24 waiting period between forcing a woman to get an ultrasound and letting her get an abortion one may pause to wonder why. One may also take the time to read the words in blue above the body of this post for the answer.
