E-Harmony: Atheists are Cheaters

by Karen on March 17, 2009

in Assholes, Atheism

According to an E-Harmony advice piece, these are the people most likely to cheat on their significant others:

Those who crave excitement

Those who are not religious

Those who have a history of divorce, sexual abuse or such psychological problems as depression or bipolar disorder.

I bore pretty easily and happen to be an atheist on my second marriage with a history of abuse dating back to early childhood.  Yet, I’ve somehow managed to never cheat on any of my partners over the years.

I have, however, about laughed myself silly at a man who swore his pastor had given him permission to cheat on his wife after I dropped his ass upon discovering he was married.

His Holiness decided to share this gem with the planet:

“You can’t resolve it [the AIDS epidemic in Africa] with the distribution of condoms,” the pope told reporters aboard the Alitalia plane headed to Yaounde. “On the contrary, it [the use of condoms] increases the problem.”

He also stated that the Roman Catholic Church is at the forefront in combating AIDS.

SyFy?

March 17, 2009

The Sci-Fi Channel, having managed to cancel practically every show it’s ever run that could be considered science fiction, has decided to rebrand itself as “SyFy”.
What would possess them to change their name to this silly word? They really dislike their base (well at least the base they acknowledge):
“The name Sci Fi has been associated [...]

The Catholic church is still shining it’s ass about the nine year old rape victim’s abortion which a lawyer for the church recently referred to as murder. They’ve now stated that they’ve excommunicated the girl’s mother and others over it:

Some people need horsewhipped

March 5, 2009

And I propose that we start with Marcio Miranda, a lawyer for a Catholic church in Brazil, who stated upon finding out that a nine year old rape victim had been granted an abortion:
“We consider this murder"

After that, we move on to whoever decided that even nine year old girls don’t get to be [...]

March 5, 2009

Back in October of last year then senator of North Carolina Elizabeth Dole was behind in the polls and did what any Republican politician would do in her spot.  She went on the attack.
Her method of attack was to ‘expose’ the fact that she had caught her challenger Kay Hagan not just associating with atheists, [...]

You’re doing it wrong, Texas

February 13, 2009

When a man admits that he did in fact use his position as county sheriff to rape a woman, you put them in jail ASAP.
You do not let them enjoy a three month break between admitting guilt and being imprisoned just as he threatened his victim with if she didn’t comply!!  I don’t care [...]

Can I have a moment of your time?

February 11, 2009

Suppose you were walking down the street one day minding your own business when someone sticks a pamphlet in front of you.  You cast your eyes to the side to see who that person is & you see someone dressed like this:

Who the hell would you think just stuck a pamphlet in front of you? [...]

Asshole of the Year: Danny Nalliah

February 10, 2009

The devastating fires in Australia have claimed the lives of nearly 200 people and scorched over 900 thousand acres. What’s a pastor to do in the midst of such a tragedy?
If you’re Danny Nalliah, the leader of the unfortunately named Catch the Fire Ministries, you channel Jerry Falwell and declare the situation to be [...]
