France ‘overwelmingly’ opposes religious freedom

burqa

France has really stepped up the religious persecution, voting 246 to 1 in favour of banning Muslim women from wearing burqas in public.  If it’s not challenged within 10 days, it becomes law and Muslim women will face fines and/or imprisonment for being caught outside their homes in burqas.

As with the denial of religious status to Islam in Italy, women’s rights are again being misused to promote religious intolerance towards Muslims:

It is aimed at ensuring gender equality, women’s dignity and security, as well as upholding France’s secular values – and its way of life.

Really? A law that demands women dress in a manner that goes against their beliefs and/or desires or be punished is about the equality, dignity and security of those women?

Laughter sound bite

I don’t know about you, but I for one wasn’t born yesterday. This law is straight up bullshit and has nothing to do with the rights of women.  This cartoon sums what’s going on with Islam in the west very well.
