Just thought I’d share this discussion about members of the gay community adopting the slogan “Gay is the new Black”.
Personally, I think the slogan goes a bit too far and “disappears” black members of the LBGT community.
Is it right to call gay the new black?

Gays have been discriminated against much longer than blacks have. Even blacks discriminate against gays. Coretta Scott King was a big supporter of rights for gays and she was ostracized by her family for this.
