While I do not like Keith Olbermann, his recent special comment on the passage of prop 8 in California is excellent, to the point and, dare I say it, a throwback to before the primaries when Olbermann actually seemed to give a damn about something beyond his own reflection.

KO tends to get to puffy for me most of the time, but this piece was excellent. He said everything I wish I could put into words.
I love Keith Oberman and this is one reason why. He calls it like he sees it. I am boycotting the mormon and catholic churches and i am sorry to say, catholic. I have signed a petition to take away the non profit status of the Mormon church and added the catholic church. DO NOT MIX RELIGION AND GOVERNMENT. Since they can’t follow that simple rule and THEY wanted to make a stand against other children of God, then let them pay for their narrow opinions.
They took one tiny little part of the bible and used it. They DO NOT practice the other 95% of the bible saying to help the poor, the oppressed, love they neighbor as thy self, judge not lest ye be judged, etc.
I am going against organized religion more and more every day and I am 63. If churches (ALL churches) were following the bible, this would void the contempt they feel for people different than themselves. GOD DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES and science has proven gays, lesbians, and trans are born that way.
Since when is MAN smarter than GOD? Since when does man think he is right in his idea of what GOD said and means. The bible taken as a whole says love one another as thy self and do unto others as you would have them do unto yourself. Just for the books, I am NOT a bible thumper or zealot or even attend church.
I practice daily what is expected of us as humans and don’t insult God by sitting in a church once a week for an hour and then going out calling ugly names to my fellow man/woman. The churches broke the rules, the churches were NOT christian and if they really think so, think about Jesus on the cross praying for a thief, forgiving a hooker, loving a traitor. GOD DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES AND HE MADE THESE CHILDREN OF GOD LIKE US. (Oh,by the way, GOD made gay animals, insect, birds etc and don’t think they make a “decision” do you?)
