Don’t blame us, blame Palin

79970615WM007_Exxon_Valdez_The meltdown on the right continues and some of those on the right seem quite intent on drowning Palin in the runoff.

They’ve quit pulling their punches since McCain conceded and there seems to be no end to the pile on.

First we heard that the guy who recommended Palin refused to let her speak after McCain.

Then we heard she actually spent more than the reported 150K on clothes by having campaign workers use their own cards to buy her and her family clothing but they kept it quiet so as to not “offend” McCain.

They’ve also stated that McCain rarely spoke to her during the campaign, that his staff really disliked her and hers wasn’t too fond of her either.

Then came the news that she once let some aides into her hotel room wearing nothing but a towel which was followed quickly by the news she didn’t know Africa was a continent and couldn’t name which countries make up NAFTA.

It’s now being reported that she was stubborn, willful bitch who threw tantrums and refused to take the advice of the aides McCain saddled her with.

Here’s a video from Fox News where it’s pretty much implied that it was her interview with Katie Couric, which she allegedly refused to prepare for, that cost McCain the election:

Of course, what is is being left unsaid is that McCain chose herIt was his decision.  So what if Palin turned out to be a nightmare.  She didn’t insert herself into the McCain campaign.

She was invited to join it by McCain himself who said, when asked about Palin, that his choice of her was  a “cold political calculation” that he was quite pleased with.

True, but I can’t help but feel a bit of sympathy for her as she’s being blamed for the party’s failure to get it’s shit together this season and no one wants to talk about how she would’ve never been on the ticket had McCain not made the rash decision to choose her simply so he could one up Obama.

Africa is a continent??? I think not! Guys and Gals, it’s only a continent if you can see it from Alaska, by golly.

Yeah, the clothes comments had me choking on my coffee this morning. Oh, how I laughed. “I can give them back,” she says. Okay, but the point is, you went on a monster spending spree and bought clothes for your entire frickin family when the suggestion was just to get a few good suits. Crazy woman. I hadn’t heard of the Africa thing before today, but all in all it didn’t surprise me. She will ill-prepared for running in a race like that and it’s good for the whole wide world that she had to pack up and go home. I wonder just what kind of homecoming she’s getting…
