What’s a former president to do?

BUSH CHINA CURRENCY Come what may on January 20, 2008 George Bush will no longer be president of the United States and will need to find other ways to occupy his time since he will no longer be capable of bombing the countries of Muslims in order to prove his manliness.

He could follow the path of Clinton, but that would probably be a bad idea as some think he and his cronies have committed war crimes and the French have already tried to arrest Rumsfeld.  Arresting Bush would be the icing on the cake, eh?

What about following in the steps of Carter? No, you’re not the only one who thinks Bush will have a problem convincing anyone he has a heart, much less a decent one that’s actually concerned about the issues so many face on a day to day basis.

So, what’s a former president with the lowest approval rate in history to do? Well, Steve Coronella has an idea.  He could run for Congress from here in Texas.

Bush should do the same [as John Quincy Adams]. That is, he should return to Texas and run for Congress. Surely, he’d get elected – even though he has one of the lowest approval ratings a sitting president has had – due to his years as governor back in the 1990s.

Now that is a campaign I could fully and without the slightest bit of hesitation on my part, actively campaign against – even if it meant supporting a Republican. He’s embarrassed America. He’s embarrassed Texas. Let this no talent son of another failed president fade into obscurity, please.
