Gay Marriage is Wrong: The Video

One of my first official acts as a blogger was to post the 10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage Will Ruin Society I had found on another site.

Well, someone has went & made it into a video (check your volume, really obnoxious music when you click play):

And since the Internet is full of dumbasses, once again – No, I am not against gay marriage and no I do not hate gay people. I do, however, reserve the right to do to you what I did to Dan over Sarah Palin, capiche?

Obama aids make it clear, atheists suck

DNC_bigots

Update: Dave of NoGod has apparently spoken to one of the men who participated in the rally & is going to to be writing a post about the conversation soon.

Via NoGod comes the story of Obama aids insisting on having the opportunity to make it clear that atheists are not welcome on the Obama bus at a recent presidential rally in Pennsylvania.

Here’s the run down.

A couple of Pennsylvanians recently attended a presidential rally in their home state where they submitted a question for McCain’s representatives about how McCain is going to reach out to the eight or so percent of Pennsylvanians who are atheists, agnostics and humanists.

McCain’s people said McCain would be everyone’s president regardless if they have faith or not.

The moderator then proceeded to ask another question of Obama’s representatives who insisted upon being allowed to answer the same question.  And they got ugly.

Don Miller pointed out that Obama has advisers for every group but atheists and agnostics and stated that there were no grand efforts to reach out to “a group of pagans”.

D. Paul Monteiro spoke of Obama’s religious beliefs and how he said “no” to people who wanted his support on church and state issues. He then followed it up by stating that Obama was not “some crazy wacko atheist trying to make sure that your children grow up to marry trees”.

These are not random assholes popping off at the mouth on their own time, but paid representatives of Obama and the DNC in their official capacities saying this kind of shit.  Imagine the firestorm it would’ve caused if it was any other group but atheists.

PSA: Jesus hates Gays

Remember all that crap about Jesus loves everyone?  It was a lie.  Jesus hates gay people.

“Regardless how people package it, Christ hates the lawlessness of homosexuality. Homosexual marriage is a lawless relationship whether it’s legal or not.

And I have news for the homosexual community and those who have joined their unholy alliance; God owns the sacred institution of marriage, not the State, so they should stop tampering with what God has joined.

Government and the people have a responsibility to uphold what God has instituted.”

On the bright side, at least Jesus had ‘em drop all that “loving the sinner, hating the sin” mumbo jumbo they usually hide behind.  Plain ole hate.  It’s about time they admitted it, eh?

Obama admits to being a racially confused socialist

They said it’d never happen, but it apparently has.  Barack Obama recently admitted that his commie tendencies go all the way back to childhood.

Yep, that’s right.  When he was in kindergarten he shared his toys.  Frigging commie! Hopefully the therapist he’s seeing to deal with having his white side express opposition to his black side running for president will help him deal with that too.

Shorter Hagan: I am not a devil!

red_devil Elizabeth Dole has apparently stepped up her hateful rhetoric and released yet another ad about her opponent Kay Hagan that’s made some waves.

The ad shows Ellen Johnson and Dave Silvermann of the Godless PAC run by American Atheists making statements in support of the separation of church(es) and state.  Interspersed throughout it is footage of Kay Hagan attending a fundraiser hosted by members of the Godless PAC.

A woman’s voice talks about how Hagan snuck off to the fundraiser and accepted political donations from atheists.  At the end the voice asks what Hagan promised in return for the money. The implication is that she promised to support their efforts to keep the wall of separation intact.

I was a bit sympathetic at first, then I read Kay Hagan’s response and my sympathy snorted and decided to go have a beer.  She’s decided to go with the idea that Elizabeth Dole is attacking her character.

How is she attacking her character?  By accusing her of actually supporting the first amendment religious rights of all Americans?  Nope.  Hagan’s went with the idea that Dole called her an atheist and she considers that to be an act of slander.

Let’s get right to it. Elizabeth Dole should absolutely be ashamed of herself. I don’t know what things were like when she grew up in North Carolina, but the North Carolina I was raised in would NEVER condone this kind of personal slander. I can’t begin to tell you how upset I am that she has attacked my Christian faith.

The problem with this is that you slander people by stating they are and/or have done something others will consider to reflect poorly on their character.  Hagan could have went after the real message of the ad which “accuses” Hagan of actually supporting the wall between church(es) and state.

But no, she decided that Dole had impugned her character by implying that she is an atheist and said so. Know what that means? Hagan is nothing more than another cowardly democrat who’s not only willing to let bigotry get a pass, but will participate in it herself if it suits her goals.

Because get it through your head – she didn’t just say Dole was wrong in calling her an atheist. She called it slander and a personal attack.   The implication is that there is something wrong with being an atheist and all people of good character should react like the witch in the Wizard of Oz did when Dorothy throws water in her face.

Personally, I’m still listed as a member of a Baptist church back in Mississippi.  It annoys me because they all know I’m an atheist, but I do not consider the implication that I still believe in Jesus to be slander nor a personal attack.  It’s just a lie.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Hagan could’ve chosen that path.  She didn’t though.  She chose to go for the sympathy vote of bigots.

Sometimes they won’t quit

tough_guy Since opening this blog a couple of years ago I’ve had a few run ins with internet tough guys.  Most tired of their games rather quickly and moved on.  Then there was Patrick Craig, the man whom ya’ll can thank for my zero tolerance comment policy.

I drew Craig’s ire when another blogger linked to a post I wrote in defence of David Mills’, at the time, infamous act of blasphemy.  Craig took offense and demanded that I retract the post.  When I refused Craig vowed to harass me into compliance with his demand.

And harass me he did.  I don’t think a day went by without at least one comment, email and/or trackback from his various blogs wherein I was insulted, slandered and/or threatened which was in addition to him trying to get other bloggers to join him in his campaign against me.

After about a month of this Craig tried to post a particularly nasty comment at about the same time I discovered a trackback from one of his blogs wherein he stated I needed to be physically assaulted.  I banned his ass by IP and told him not to contact me again.

In retribution, he decided to put a post up on his main blog about how he was the victim and was just guilty of sticking up for the little guy who felt bad now that he’d finally figured out I was not a man.  After a month of being called various kinds of bitches via email and his other blogs his sympathetic readers didn’t know about, I was incensed and went public with the actual comment that got him banned.

It was another month before Craig popped out of his hole and wrote a post where he referenced, amongst other things, my horrible treatment of him as a reason for shutting down his main blog.  And that was that.  Craig’s never reappeared, at least not on my blog nor any of the blogs I frequent.

However, there’s another blogger who’s got his own Patrick Craig times about ten or so on the line.

The blogger is Martin Wagner of the Atheist Experience who’s being harassed by a theist by the name of Yomin Postelnik over an article he wrote that Martin nailed to the wall back in June of this year.

Since then Yomin has put up several blogs slandering Martin, calling him a thief and even edited Martin’s wikipage to state that Martin was fired for molesting a kid.  He’s also been threatening to sue Martin over his criticism of his article.

Martin has decided to call Yomin’s bluff and has filed his own lawsuit against Yomin for slander. His lawyer has advised him that the case will probably run about 5K to 10K of which he’s only be able to pay $2300 towards.

I’d like to ask you to head over to the site Martin has put up about the situation and to consider donating to his cause if you can, please.

What this woman is going to remember

piss_on_mccain Some Republican strategist has decided to share with us seven reasons McCain and Palin will be coming out the winners come November 4th.

Reason number four is none other than women ‘who feel Senator Clinton was treated unfairly’ by the party, the media and Obama. We’re allegedly going to remember this and vote against Obama.

Well, I, for one, will remember one thing in particular.  A Republican strategist including women angered by sexism as a reason his party is going to win in an article where he called the media, for all intents and purposes, a bunch of girls:

…the national media has become a feminized, electronic vote-for-Obama nagging machine.

I’m also going to remember that Sarah Palin is not on the ticket because she was the best the Republicans could find amongst their party, which would at least be respectable, but is on the ticket as nothing more than a cold, political calculation that John McCain has found very pleasing.

I’m also never going to forget that the original source for all the hatred of Hillary Clinton is, in fact, the Republican Party which started in on her nearly two decades ago.  There was not one thing said about Hillary Clinton over the last year that did not breathe it’s first breath in Republican circles.

Not banned in China

This might be a fluke, but it looks like I can no longer claim to have been banned in China.

From my Woopra Geo Overlay:

I have never gotten any traffic from China & my site was blocked the last time I checked. Now I’m getting much more traffic from Asia, Africa & the ‘middle east’.
