She was the perfect babysitter in most respects, but she was most insistent about trying to break me of being left-handed. She and my Mother had a serious row about it, and I almost lost my best baby-sitter. Finally she gave in. But her major concern, and the reason why she was so insistent, was that she believed it was inviting evil to be left-handed.
