Palin refuses to speak with media
This is just rich. McCain’s campaign has stated that Palin will not be speaking to members of the media until they start showing her the deference and respect she deserves. Yes, deference.
Rick Davis, campaign manager for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., just told Fox News Channel’s Chris Wallace that McCain running mate Gov. Sarah Palin won’t subject herself to any tough questions from reporters “until the point in time when she’ll be treated with respect and deference.”
Davis assailed the way the media had discussed Palin and her family in the last week and said the campaign would wait until a less hostile media environment.
So when will she subject herself to questions?
“When we think it’s time and when she feels comfortable doing it,” Davis said, praising a Fox News Channel profile of Palin that ran last night.
Can you imagine the reaction if Hillary Clinton had said she would not speak to the media until they quit disrespecting her and refusing to show her the deference she deserves?
Something tells me they would not be running around declaring her a “rockstar“. What do you think?
After hearing her speak once, once was enough.
Maybe they realize that she cannot defend her theocratic views and are hoping that the majority of voters simply won’t find out.
Now comes the news she will be doing an interview with Charles Gibson… I suspect the toughest question put to her will be what she puts in her chocolate chip cookies
Bwahahahaha.
Of course, what she means by that is “Bawww, these questions are hard, I’m not talking to you until you ask questions that my staff have carefully scripted answers for.”
I realise that many (all?) politicians have pre-scripted answers for the most likely questions, but not all of them are so blatantly afraid of answering spontaneous questions.
This is ridiculous. What if, as VP, she is called to help negotiate a treaty with someone who isn’t particularly polite? She’ll walk out of the room and cry?
I HATE Sarah Palin. SO MUCH.
I personally think that McCain wanted to put of the debates so that the VP debates could be delayed too, since she doesn’t know SHIT.
