The liberal media had a field day over Obama’s connection to Wright. Now it’s come to light that Palin’s church recently played host to a leader of the controversial group Jews for Jesus.
… Palin’s church, the Wasilla Bible Church, gave its pulpit over to a figure viewed with deep hostility by many Jewish organizations: David Brickner, the executive director of Jews for Jesus.
Palin’s pastor, Larry Kroon, introduced Brickner on Aug. 17, according to a transcript of the sermon on the church’s website.
“He’s a leader of Jews for Jesus, a ministry that is out on the leading edge in a pressing, demanding area of witnessing and evangelism,” Kroon said.
Brickner then explained that Jesus and his disciples were themselves Jewish.
“The Jewish community, in particular, has a difficult time understanding this reality,” he said. Brickner’s mission has drawn wide criticism from the organized Jewish community, and the Anti-Defamation League accused them in a report of “targeting Jews for conversion with subterfuge and deception.”
Brickner also described terrorist attacks on Israelis as God’s “judgment of unbelief” of Jews who haven’t embraced Christianity.
“Judgment is very real and we see it played out on the pages of the newspapers and on the television. It’s very real. When [Brickner's son] was in Jerusalem he was there to witness some of that judgment, some of that conflict, when a Palestinian from East Jerusalem took a bulldozer and went plowing through a score of cars, killing numbers of people. Judgment — you can’t miss it.”
Palin was in church that day, Kroon said, though he cautioned against attributing Brickner’s views to her.
I’m sure that the same liberal media will immediately commence to throwing a tantrum about Palin being connected with a pastor who praises an anti-Jewish nutball who claims brutal attacks on Israeli citizens happen because Jews are kind of insistent on remaining Jews and aren’t interested in becoming Christians.
And no, this is not a one time thing. If you read the sermon you’ll see that Kroon has some kind of connection with Jews for Jesus going back to the 1970s and that the August 17th appearance of Brickner was his second visit to the church within the last four years.

Who cares if Palin’s church hosts Jews for Jesus. There are better things to do then criticize. Whomever wins the election Democrat or Republican, we all must be involved to turn this country around. We all have different ideas for a reason and I hope we all unite for a good cause, to save America and set an examole for the world.I think we are all in for some suffering I’m afraid. All judgement means is to see clearly and we all need to learn to do that. Our human nature is blind, deaf and dumb.
Oh, get off your high horse Doris as you and I both know you’ve got no problem with criticism when it’s something you give a damn about.
So when Obama goes to church, Rev. Wright becomes the top story for weeks. With Palin, we simply ignore it. Is this because of race or because the views expressed at her church are held by so many more Americans that the media are afraid to question them?
I’m a Jewish believer in Jesus. Most bloggers and news services have quoted just one paragraph of the six-page transcript of David Brickner’s message, giving the false impression that he is saying that a bulldozer attack by a deranged Palestinian is God’s judgment on the Jewish people. I’m glad that you have given your readers a link to Brickner’s entire message, so that they can see his remarks in context. Here is another link to that message: http://wasillabible.org/sermons.htm
Among other things, Brickner says, “My mother always told me, ‘Be careful when you point a finger at somebody else, because there’s some pointing back at you.’ And really, Israel has not cornered the market on unbelief. Israel is an example of what all humanity has been saying to God since the beginning of time, shaking its fists at the heavens and saying, ‘You’ll not rule over us.’ And so all of the controversy that we see swirling in Jerusalem is really a mirror that the world looks in to see the controversy within . . . . It’s the dilemma of the human heart.”
Brickner is saying that without forgiveness of sins, which he (and I) believe only comes through Jesus’ sacrificial death for us, there will be judgment – not just for Jews, but for all mankind.
