When I concentrate very hard, I can speak Ubbi Dubbi! But it's been a long time.

I don't think of it as the lesser of two evils, just that you shouldn't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Unfortunately Ubi Dubious is correct (do you also speak Ubbi Dubbi?). We have to, once more, choose between the lesser of two evils. During the next presidential term, it is very likely that one or more Supreme Court Justices will kick the bucket, and Obama is a lot less likely than McCain to appoint a Jesus freak to the bench.

I, too, am bothered by Senator Obama's appearance at Saddleback and by the faith gathering at the convention. I had hoped for more.

This election, however, has 2 reasonably likely outcomes: Obama or McCain will be President. Which result is likely to keep abortion legal (consider the judges and justices each would appoint); use science instead of faith in setting policy; change the faith based initiative to ban discrimination; and use fair hiring practices? With President McCain we get a President who supported Bush 95% of the time; who will have many of the same people in power; and who has made clear he will appoint more justices in the mold of Alito.

I'm going to work my tail off to get Obama elected. I hope that in the end, you will support us.

I too am waving goodbye. Last week's meeting with Rick Warren made me nauseous. I thought I could vote for Obama, but this pandering is too much to take. I'd rather throw my vote away to make a statement (albeit one few will hear) than partake in this charade. Maybe in our lifetime we will see a government that can function without the dysfunctional meddling of religion.
