Quite possibly the dumbest thing ever said by a Christian in the entire history of Christianity was recently uttered by Minnesota’s own Michele Bachmann during an interview with a Christian news organization.

“[Pelosi] is committed to her global warming fanaticism to the point where she has said that she’s just trying to save the planet,” Bachmann said. “We all know that someone did that over 2,000 years ago, they saved the planet — we didn’t need Nancy Pelosi to do that.”

Yep, you read it right.  We don’t need to quit trying our damndest to kill our planet because Jesus got himself nailed to a cross two thousand years ago to save the planet – not a particular subgroup of primates.  Looks like celibacy isn’t the only thing the monks got wrong all those years ago…
