And so it begins anew

John McCain has picked Alaskan governor Sarah Palin as his vice president.  She’s anti-choice, anti-gay marriage, thinks evolution is a myth, pro-death penalty and a few other things guaranteed to cause instant dislike amongst progressives.

She’s also a mother and wouldn’t you know that it is her status as mother that is the first slam:

How is she going to campaign full time with a baby? Is that any way to treat your child? Can she handle the VP duties and also raise a baby, a 7 year old, and a 13 year old?

Followed quickly with a bit of racism against her husband:

My friends, please welcome the Mayor of Wasilla and her eskimo First Gentleman.

And by a liberal.

And people wonder why some of us are extremely put off by the shit that has happened and continues to happen within the ranks of liberalism as it relates to sexism and racism?

*snort*

What else is there to say about this article besides that? Charles Dolan, head of Cablevision and one of the people named in the article, donated $25K to the RNC in May of 2000 and 2002.  In June 2004 he gave $25K to the RNC.  In 2007 & 2008 he gave thousands to Guiliani, McCain and Thompson.

Does that sound like a dedicated Democrat that is incensed with the Democratic party? How about  Donald Trump who gave Hillary Clinton a wopping $600?  What about Danit Aharon who appears to have given $25K to a group for John McCain in California and $10K to the RNC in addition $2300 to both John McCain’s primary fund and general election fund?

Is it possible that these people are liberals and progressives who’ve had it with the Democratic party? Or is it more likely that these people are Republicans who have donated money to the Democrats for reasons completely unrelated to actually supporting democratic ideas?

And it’s not like the information quoted above is something one has to dig for especially in this day and age.  I found this information utilizing nothing but the names mentioned in the article and this site that lets you look up such information.

So what gives?  Why would ABC put up such an article?  I say it’s because we live in the day and age where the news agencies have taking to creating news not reporting it.  They don’t care if they’re outright lying.  They’re just hoping we don’t catch their asses.

And let’s face it.  A lot of people immediately trust anything they read/see in the news and once the story is out there - well, it’s out there.  The seed is planted.  The seed this time around is this.

The Democratic party is in trouble.  It’s losing people and money, especially money.  It’s just a matter of time before it’s declared dead so don’t even bother getting involved yourself because it’s dying. Dying we said!!!

It’s sort of like feminism.  It’s declared dead or dying every time some dipshit gets in the news for being a dipshit.  The only exception is that the news agencies literally pull dipshits out their asses when it comes to the Democratic party.

Richard Dawkins’ hate mail

August 25, 2008

Found this video over at The Good Atheist and thought I’d share it:

The best one has to be the one where the sweet little Christian hopes Dawkin’s gets hit by a church van and dies slowly.  Such a sweetheart, eh?

Ben Stein’s still an idiot

August 25, 2008

He makes $35 to 50K per speaking engagement, owns (as of 2007) seven homes, an empty lot in Malibu and considers himself a member of the middle class:

Ben Stein also gave an interview in 2005 where he was asked about a financial mistake he regretted.  His regret?  At some point he purchased stock in Berkshire [...]

It’s 2PM, wave goodbye to the Democratic Party

August 24, 2008

Well, folks it’s official.  The Democratic party has kicked off it’s week long celebration of the diversity within the Democratic party with an event that explicitly shuts out any Democrat or democratically inclined person that doesn’t believe in some kind of god.
Be nice.  Smile as you wave goodbye.  It’s the atheist thing to do.

It doesn’t get any simpler than this

Colleen of Boston Brahmina explains how the alleged important question of when a fetus becomes human is not so important afterall:
If it has none until birth, abortion does not violate human rights because there are none to be violated. If it has them at the moment of conception, or at 6 months’ gestation, or when [...]

Act like a Christian? No, Thanks.

August 22, 2008

An event this coming Sunday is to be a first for the Democratic Party.  At exactly two pm at the Denver Convention Center the Democratic party will kick off the only “inter-faith” service it’s ever played host to.
This gathering will include clergy of a variety of faiths, Democratic leaders, elected Democrats and community leaders.  It’s [...]

Can you get a refund for a gift god gave you?

August 20, 2008

Seriously!
A confident Barack Obama raised an extraordinary $7.8 million Sunday at three California fundraisers, most of it in large checks to a Democratic Party committee.
“I will win. Don’t worry about that,” he said to the crowd of about 1,300 at his third event of the evening, according to the pool report.
He was warmly received by [...]
