Pope takes shot at Gay people and their allies

Pope Benedict has given his address for the new year and wouldn’t you know it, he decided to take shots at gay people and their allies. According to him, we are threatening "the very foundation of peace" which is the "natural family".    It’s been a recurrent theme in a lot of his speeches this past year, but this has to be the most absurd speech to date.

Seriously, how can there be peace when center members of our various societies are denied the same rights and privileges enjoyed by the majority?    When any attempt to extend those rights and privileges to them are referred to, on an international scale, to be an attack on peace itself?   Such a peace is a fraud and anyone who supports such a fraud is a disgrace.

Of course, he’s just looking out for me seeing that I’m not only a heterosexual woman in a magic man approved relationship, but one who stays at home like a good bitch is supposed to.   It makes me gag.  If anyone is a threat to "family" all over the world it is Pope Benedict and anyone who agrees that respecting gay people and affording them the same rights and privileges we straight people enjoy is a bad thing.

The fact of the matter is that ten years from now, my daughter, a member of my "natural family", can sit me and her father down and make "The Announcement" that she is a lesbian. You know, one of those gay people and thus a threat to all that is good and right.  Maybe it’s just the godless amorality but calling my daughter a threat to civilization kind of undermines the entire idea of family in my book.
