Reproductive rights deemed "unsavory" & "controversial"

And no, it’s not your local wingnut faction that’s stated such. It’s Verizon - one of the leading cell phone companies. Verizon recently denied it’s customers access to NARAL’s text messaging program because it has a policy that deems abortion to be a “unsavory” and “controversial” subject not fit for it’s customers.

It should be noted that Verizon is a player in the movement to end Net Neutrality. Like it’s cohort AT&T, it swears it will never do anything to limit access to information. I think it’s pretty obvious that this is a lie at this point.

UPDATE:

Verizon has apparently figured out that us god-hating liberals are more inclined towards gadgets, that their Big Brother behaviour was going to effect their bank accounts and has decided to backpedal.

Amusingly, they’re trying to insinuate that this happened due to an old policy regarding spam. I say bullshit.
