Dean still wants the vote of bigots
Dean Howard wants Democratic politicians to woo the Christian right with their “values” because ‘we’ Democrats have a lot in common with them. Funny, I don’t count doing one’s best to ensure one group of Americans remain second-class citizens and trying to strip another group of Americans of our rights a “value”. I call it it a well spun lie that covers up the actual belief that white straight male Christians are our rightful masters that occasionally gets aired for all the people to see:
Bill O’Reilly: But do you understand what the New York Times wants, and the far-left want? They want to break down the white, Christian, male power structure, which you’re a part, and so am I, and they want to bring in millions of foreign nationals to basically break down the structure that we have. In that regard, Pat Buchanan is right. So I say you’ve got to cap with a number.
And what are some things that “break down the white Christian male power structure”? Gay rights, women’s rights, the rights of people of colour and perhaps the most import nut buster - the separation of church(es) and state. You can’t woo these people without doing away with these things and doing away with them would make the Democratic party useless.
