Still around, just a bit preoccupied
Just a quick post to let you all know that I am around, just preoccupied. The short explanation:
I picked up something on my computer late last week that sent my anti-virus software into air-raid mode when windows wasn’t throwing up crash errors and shutting itself down. I finally got that straightened out just in time for the power supply to die. It’s now Monday and the graphic card has decided to go on a semi-strike with Windows declaring the scanner is an enemy interloper.
On the plus side, I now have a really good reason to build/buy another computer. “I’m bored with this and want a new one” just sounded a bit shallow, ya know?
Anyway, if you have any suggestions or resources, I’m all ears as I’m a bit in the dark on the latest in computers.

Seriously, I’ve considered it, but I love tinkering with computers. You can’t do that with a Mac unless they’ve changed drastically in the last few years.
Not really, no. Well, they’re a bit more flexible than they used to be, but the hardware is still limited compared to a bog-standard PC.
