It is not a stick that people use to destroy the lives of others. Case in point, Steve Stanton. Mr. Stanton was the city manager of Largo, Florida for 14 years. All was well for quite some time. Then Steve announced that due to his personal non-work related plans, we’d soon be calling him Susan.
Who brought this day to pass? Was it the flaming secular evilutionists with their Bible pages smeared with poo? Uhh… nope. It was the People of The Good Book who destroyed Mr. Stanton’s career.
Charlie Martin, senior pastor at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, said he encouraged parishioners to attend because it’s the “biggest issue facing Largo” in his 36-year tenure as pastor of the church, one of the largest in Pinellas County.
Stanton’s continued employment will be devastating to Largo’s reputation and future business interests, Martin said.
Moreover, he said, it would trample on the rights of religious employees to force them to call the city manager Susan, the name Stanton plans to use when he comes to work as a woman this spring.
“Do we want what’s controversial or do we want what’s best for Largo?” said Martin, whose church includes many members from Largo.
But, let some nasty little atheist say or do anything that simply upsets the little Christers but costs them nothing real nor tangible and holy mother of god it’s a fucking crisis.
Round up the kiddies and lock the doors, ma. I’ll get the shotgun!!!!!!!!!!ÂÂ
*snort*
Pardon me while I gag.

I think Stanton’s got a heck of a lawsuit – check out the law on my blog – http://jweissdiary.blogspot.com And why is what Jesus said any more relevant than what Buddha or Ahura Mazda say in a society with separation of church and state?
