This is one of the most poorly argued articles I have ever read. Putting beliefs of Christianity or non-Christianity aside, there is no support given for any of the claims set forth in the article (except for the fact that there are some who have called themselves Christians who were invovled in the same sort of lifestyles as those who were not considered Christians). Furthermore, if one does his/her research on the subject at hand, one will find direct opposition to the claims about Christianity of this article. Do listen to the article and go find books in a local Christian bookstore. This will simply be doing what the article asks you to do and will serve to refute the claims presented. Moreover, simply pick up a thorough history book to find the information about Newton and Wilberforce. The movie, Amazing Grace, is not focused on Newton but on Wilberforce. History shows that Newton was a confidant of Wilberforce and helped inspire him. Simply watch the movie and you will see that it is about Wilberforce.

One can fall in a ditch on either side of the road. Those who say that only Christians have contributed to history and brought about moral change are on one side of the road in a ditch. Those who claim, like this article's writer, that Christians have not contributed to the good of History also are in a ditch. This article is riddled with fallacious arguments. The article is not worth the read as it contributes nothing to the discussion. For everyone already knows that there were Christians who owned and sold slaves. What would be of value is a good, thorough "secular" history book, a thorough book on Christian history, and several books explaining Christian doctrine and beliefs. The only value of this article will come when it is used in logic and philosophy classes to help students pick out fallacious arguments.
