Qajartalik is an island in the Canadian artic that had big aspirations. Home to stone carvings dating back 1500 years that resemble the carvings of the Dorsets, a group that flourished in the Eastern Artic approximately 1000 to 1500 years ago, it hoped to get itself declared a World Heritige Site.
